Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Well, here we are, another Thanksgiving, which means another year is almost over. It seems crazy to me how fast the years are going. I hope everyone got enough to eat, and was able to spend time with family and friends, some we only see a couple of times a year.

My side of family takes turns for Thanksgiving, meaning one year we go to my Mom's side of the family, and the next we go to Dad's side. This year was Mom's side, and we always go to Grandpa Joes house. Aunt Debbie is the coordinator, and always does a wonderful job! We also went to see Derek's family at his Aunt Marlenes house, we got there late, and missed the dinner, although Derek enjoyed a piece of every apple pie possible while we were there, and took some home with us.

I opted not to go shopping on Black Friday, although, I probably should have. I was doing good going into November, had pretty much everyone done, now, as we keep drawing more names for different things, I am behind. Oh well, it will get done before Christmas, it always does. Instead of shopping on Friday, Derek and I decided to paint. We sent Sydney to Dena's and painted her new room and one wall in our living room. We are very happy with the way that both turned out. We had a fairly uneventful, but full weekend, sad to have to go back to work today. Oh well, gotta pay for those Christmas presents somehow.

New to me

Ok, so I have friends and family that have a blog, and just for grins, I thought I would try it.
If nothing else, this is a way for people to keep up with Sydney as she grows. There is no guarantee it will be updated often, or that it will be interesting, but here goes.


I have used Matt and Robyn Pfershy's blog to keep track of their growing girls and it is like getting to see how they grow and what they are up to. I am hoping that maybe our little blog will be able to do that for someone.


So, to begin, incase anyone doesn't know our background-here it is.


Derek and I have been together for almost 6 years now. Our first date was actually on a Friday the 13th. Kinda scary for some, but it worked out for us. We got married on Oct 8, 2005, and little miss was born Nov 19, 2006. She was born weighing 6lbs 12oz, and18.5 inches long. Definately on the small side, and has continued to stay small. She is now 2 (wow-time flies) and at her check up last week she weighed 23 lbs 8 oz, and was 32 inches tall. So, she is still small, but still growing up.


Sydneys biggest news lately is that she is a true "big girl" now. She is going potty on the potty and not in diapers anymore. Yay for us and her!!! No more diapers... well.... that kinda leads into Derek and I's biggest news lately...


We are expecting again! I am due 6/16/09-which puts me at 11 weeks and 2 days right now. (still have a long way to go) If this baby is born on the due date, it will have a birthday right in between 2 cousins. Sara's birthday is 6/15 and Cole's birthday is 6/17. Would be kindof cool if all the birthdays were together.
